Does EdgeBox work with my existing CCTV cameras?
Yes. EdgeBox connects to standard IP cameras and NVRs over RTSP and works alongside a wide range of camera protocols and VMS platforms. You keep your existing capture hardware — CP Plus, Hikvision, Axis or others — and EdgeBox adds the intelligence layer on top.
How many cameras can one EdgeBox handle?
EdgeBox ships in 8- and 16-channel configurations. The 8-channel model suits retail sites, hospitals and growing businesses, and the 16-channel model is built for factories, campuses and city surveillance. Larger estates simply stack multiple appliances.
Does EdgeBox need an internet connection or cloud?
No. All AI inference runs on the appliance itself, so EdgeBox works fully offline with local processing. Cloud is strictly optional — a separate cloud dashboard subscription is available for centralised multi-site monitoring, and a hybrid AI boost mode can add cloud compute for selected advanced models.
How much does EdgeBox cost?

How does EdgeBox support DPDP Act compliance?
Video is analysed on-site, so raw footage does not have to leave your premises by default — a strong starting position for purpose limitation and data minimisation under India's DPDP Act. What AI models are available on EdgeBox?
More than 65 AI apps grouped into four tiers: Basic (people counting, intrusion detection, privacy masking, heatmaps), Advanced (crowd detection, fallen person, vehicle type), Extra (LPR, PPE compliance, tailgating, PTZ tracking) and Hybrid AI Boost (gun detection, imminent threat, spill detection). Does EdgeBox work with analog cameras or DVR systems?
Yes. EdgeBox connects to IP cameras directly over RTSP, and analog or DVR-based systems can be brought on board through an encoder. Most sites keep their current hardware and simply add the intelligence layer — after a site survey, the camera count is often reduced rather than increased.
How long does installation take?
EdgeBox installs in hours, not days. There is no rewiring: the appliance connects to your existing network, taps the RTSP streams your NVR already carries, and AI models are activated per channel from the dashboard. Cameras keep recording throughout.
How many AI models can run on one camera channel?
Multiple models run simultaneously on a single channel — for example, people counting, intrusion detection and PPE compliance on the same camera at the same time. You choose the mix per channel and can change it as the site evolves.
Can EdgeBox integrate with my existing VMS and other systems?
Yes. EdgeBox works with a wide range of camera protocols and VMS platforms, and API integration lets you push AI events into the systems you already run — access control, BMS, ticketing or command-and-control dashboards.
Where is video footage stored?
Recording continues on your existing NVR exactly as before. EdgeBox can optionally record on an internal M.2 NVMe SSD for on-box evidence retention. By default, raw footage stays on-site — only events, counts and metadata travel to the dashboard if you enable it.
Can EdgeBox run outdoors or in harsh environments?
Yes. The appliance is fanless with a rugged industrial design rated for minus 30 to 70 degrees Celsius, with optional LTE and GPS connectivity for remote or mobile deployments and optional M.2 NVMe recording on board.
